GOODWorks RECYCLE began curbside pick-up service in March 2007 with four customers. We are a family partnership. Our income is derived from a monthly subscription fee and resell of recycling bins. In exchange, we will pick-up the below specified recyclable material from participating households on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.

- Clear, Green, Brown Glass
- Aluminum Beverage Cans
- Steel Cans
- Number 1 plastics: PETE (Polyethylene terephthalate)
- Number 2 plastics: HDPE (High density polyethylene)
- Worn Out Clothing / Shoes
We then donate the unsorted material to the Chattanooga Community Kitchen’s Recycle Works Program on 727 East 11th Street, from which their funding is attained, in part, from the separation and resell of the material.
Presently, we have confined our service to residential households of Lookout Mountain less than eight miles from our office. We serve the length of the mountain from Point Park in Tennessee to Mount Olive Road in Walker and Dade counties, Georgia.
Our customers appear to well represent the distinctive population of households who live in this community. Of the one hundred and fifty-four GOODWorks customers (as of 10/01/08), we serve less than ten percent of the community.
